The Salem dojo offers training in Ki development, Ki Aikido and Kiatsu®.

The dojo is located in the Englewood Elementary School cafeteria. Enter under the stairwell facing Nebraska Street.

Public seminar: Ki for baby boomers

Saturday, May 31, 9:00 a.m. to noon

The primary challenge beyond middle age is living a long and healthy life with sustained well-being in advancing years. Now is the time to begin building the foundation for such a life.

In this seminar you will learn principles of mind and body coordination that unlock your full potential as a human being; the Ki breathing method, a daily exercise that strengthens your living energy; and be introduced to Personal Kiatsu®, a method of bringing the healing power of Ki into your body at any time.

Suggested for ages 40 and over. Englewood Elementary School gymnasium. Cost: $15.

Getting started

Call us at (503) 508-5354 to let us know you are coming and get answers to any questions you might have. Plan on arriving at the school at 6:15 to get acquainted and receive a brief introduction to the principles of our training. A T-shirt and warm-up pants are appropriate attire.

  • Kids' camp

    Saturday June 7th – Sunday June 8th at the Tigard dojo

    The annual kids' camp is this weekend, featuring lots of training and activities for members of the children's program.

July, 2008

  • Fourth of July

    Sunday July 6th at all dojos

    No classes because of the holiday.

August, 2008

  • Labor day

    Sunday August 31st – Monday September 1st at all dojos

    No classes because of the holiday.

September, 2008

  • Randori class

    Sunday September 21st, 9:30, at the Tigard dojo

    The usual advanced aikido class will cover randori. All students brown belt and up are encouraged to attend.

October, 2008

  • Board testing

    Sunday October 19th, 9:30 am, at the Tigard dojo

    Aikido testing for advanced Ki and Ki-Aikido students.

November, 2008

  • Fall camp

    Saturday November 22nd, 9:00 am on Saturday, 7:30 am on Sunday, at the Tigard dojo

    One of two annual opportunities to train Aikido intensively, Fall camp is open to all current students.

  • Thanksgiving

    Thursday November 27th – Sunday November 30th at all dojos

    No classes over the holiday weekend.

December, 2008

  • Management conference

    Sunday December 7th, 9:00 am, at the Tigard dojo

    All instructors are invited to attend the annual management conference.

  • Last day of classes

    Saturday December 20th, until the new year, at all dojos

    No classes will be held over the holiday break.

January, 2009

  • Classes resume

    Friday January 2nd at all dojos

    With the new year comes new training.

  • Misogi

    Sunday January 4th, arrive by 8:30 am, misogi starts at 9:00 am, at the Tigard dojo

    Our annual opportunity to ring in the new year. Open to all current students.
